Cast on 44, 45 or 46 in size American 7 double pointed needles, do ribbing 2 by 2 or 2 by 3 for an inch and a quarter in polo color yarn, switch to orange carrot Herschnerr's super saver, rib one more row then change to stockinette stitch in the round, knit every round, leave a tail at beginning to check for beginning as you work, make to desired length, at least 9 inches, less one and one quarter inches, make a thumb hole by working to beginning long tail marker and decreasing one stitch and turning to purl back side, purl this back side to beginning where you decreased a stitch, stop , decrease again and turn or reverse your direction again so you are again knitting the piece, when you reach the opening or decreased area, cast on two stitches to keep count even and create an even hole, and knit across the gap, keep knitting stockinette in the round, knit every row for another inch, bind on knit for a curled hem or turn and bind off purl for a straight hem.
You can deliberately twist the ribbed cuff at round four if you like, otherwise carefully hold the yarn the first several rounds so it stays straight on the needles until you can clearly see the rib pattern. This was not deliberate at first but I liked it so I repeated it with the second wrist warmer. The Colorful section is the top, you could play around with this and put the Polo shade at the hand area either in rolled stockinettes edging (just knit in straight stockinette and bind off) or change to back to rib stitch for some more ribbing to encase your hands. Darling.
See the thumb opening in the photo below, --you can finish the edge in single crochet or slip stitch, or, even a blanket stitch so it won't curl around the thumb or the bottom edge. The unfinished or rolled edge looks cute and its very quick since once your there you're done if you choose.
This has been done in 46 stitches decreased to 44 stitches in the center of the carrot color, which would be alright to work even, I am slim so I made them a little small after I got started.
