Hard Candy on Black

Kind of Good for New Year, but Hard Candy Glitter Mascara is too thin on its own. This is the black and silver Mascara, the tube looks silver and grey.

So, I layered it with Colossal Volume Express by Maybelline.

The name is Spellbound 090.

Bell Sleeve Top

Using a J-Hook, Complete the top, back and extra-long sleeves in simple crochet rib, crocheting into the front only of single crochet stitches beneath current row. Front 22", back 22", sleeves 22-24" your choice. Neck gradual wide-U, back high medium-U.
For the sleeves create the cap, chain 42,  increase 2 on top edge every other row until you have 48, work even two rows then decrease to 42 stitches again--meanwhile on the bell end after the sleeve is completed as a rectangle with a cap on top, keep going at the tenth stitch from the bottom, making two fewer stitches every other rib row at the tenth, the eighth, the sixth, the the fourth and the second stitch considered from the sleeve's very bottom. until you have the beautiful bell. You are basically working from the bottom now and adding a wing that will make the bell when you sew the sleeves' seam. Tie off.
For the front and back chain 58 stitches and from bottom and crochet in rib sidewise, so the ribs are verticle -- jumbo rib like a shaker stitch. Inward about 2.5 inches in front and back begin decreasing for the scoop necklines at the top's top edge. In the BACK you only need to decrease about three times and then work even til the full length of 23 in. In the FRONT you decrease about 6 times before working even to the very bottom.

This is baby print, pink, blue, white held double. YOU can use WORSTED YARN held single or Jiffy weight held single and the J Hook. You can use any color. 700-800 yds. Holding baby yarn double 1400 -1500.

A Tam

Only one skein of chunky yarn.
This is an easy pattern!
Cast on 44 stitches [assuming your head is 21-22 inches in circumference] with a K hook - Boyle afghan or regular (its fun to do with an afghan hook!)
attach at end to work in rounds at stitch 44-next round stitch 1
First round double crochet
Next two rounds hdc [half-double]
Next 4 rounds double crochet increasing 3 stitches evenly spaced at first of these and then decreasing 2-4 on last row-your preference.
Sew top together right sides together by turning the piece inside out before stitching. now, turn the hat the right way with the seam you just made on the inside. Hold a strand, maybe 8-10 inches long - you will trim the excess- of yarn inside of the hat under the seam. Insert your hook near one end of this very seam.
Draw up a strand of yarn and hold it with something like your finger then insert your hook and draw up another bit of this strand near the other end of this seam about the same distance as the first draw
Both ends of the seam should have an end of yarn from the same strand about 5-7 inches long (the strand will be tied together in a knot over the Tam's center to make a short little tassel like finishing)
Draw the ends together until the Tam is pleated to your liking and tie it twice. Trim to a cute tail.

Easiest Angel Cut Out

Given a hand shaped plastic cutter or two create an angel pattern easily, by turning one of your material or baking dough face down beside the first piece.

You can use two cutters if you have them - too.
Notice the thumbs turn into a face -- especially if you add hair and the other fingers make a pair of wings.
Meanwhile maybe just one could be the angel weeping, delivering or heralding a message or praying. The tab on this new cutter gave me the ideas. Put the halo over the face!!! ô
         |||| /                 like this. The angel is holding her music.

These are BIG cookies/patterns. Perfect for coasters, doilies, package decor or even a potholder-hotpad when using both hand angles together.

Medical Excerpt - Pain Medicine

I was reading this and as I sometimes have chronic pain waned to pass it on to others.

""When talking about painkillers, it’s important to understand the difference among products. There are four main types of oral analgesics that are available without a prescription: naproxen (brand name Aleve), ibuprofen (brand names Advil and Motrin), aspirin, and acetaminophen (brand name Tylenol).
Naproxen and ibuprofen work in the body the same and have the same side effects. Ibuprofen is typically taken every 6-8 hours; naproxen is taken every 12 hours. Aspirin works a little differently than ibuprofen and naproxen but has very similar side effects. The usual dose of aspirin is 500-1,000 mg every 4-6 hours. Acetaminophen works a little differently than naproxen and ibuprofen, has different side effects, and can be taken every 6-8 hours.
So, to answer my brother-in-law’s question… He could take his naproxen (Aleve) eight hours after taking ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) or he could take ibuprofen 12 hours after taking naproxen. However, if he was not getting adequate pain relief from ibuprofen within the eight-hour period, he could take acetaminophen (Tylenol). I advised him to stay within the recommended dosage for both medicines.
The bottom line for weekend warriors is that you cannot combineibuprofen and naproxen unless it is time for another dose of either medication. If you need additional pain relief, you can combine aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen with acetaminophen. However, do not take aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen within 8-12 hours of each other. Also, watch out for pain medications that might be included in combination products such as those used for cough and cold.""

Black Metallic Work Basket Sweater from WorkBasket Patterns

The first picture shows the long fringe.
This is a crochet stitch and the long 'western' style fringe which could pass for other fashion eras as well is attached just like the ends of a pillow or afghan when you add the fringe, instead you add it around the neckline. The cuffs are rib stitch and so is the hem, so the sweater looks finished.
H and J hooks. So, it doesn't take too long.

I don't have time to count out the stitches so rather than be entirely a disappointment as I can't find the workbasket I was eagerly looking for to not have to recount the stitches, I frequently design my own and do not write down the pattern until afterward. A free similar fun pattern. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/92-6-a---cardigan-in-eskimo-and-puddel
This takes 1000 yds of bulky weight, I have success by doubling a worsted weight which is usually economical. My black sweater was made with glitter charcoal Red Heart. You can probably add 4 stitches, go down the needles one size to the  I and the 10 and not double the yarn.
http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/pattern.php?id=1681&lang=en

MY PATTERN AFTER ALL:  Mein Muster: Translator ist nach rechts.我的模式:翻譯是正確的。
내 패턴 : 역자는 오른쪽에 있습니다. Mon Motif: Traducteur est à droite. Můj vzor: Translator je na pravé straně. Мой шаблон: Переводчик находится справа. Mi patrón: Translator es a la derecha.Min Mønster: Oversætter er til højre.بلدي نمط: المترجم هو الحق.
I believe I cast on 62 for hem and did ribbing in crochet and a H or I hook for 3 inches and 30 on the sleeve with crochet ribbing for 5 inches. The body is a shell crochet stitch for 16 inches at which you shape an underarm by decreasing to 46 stitches over 3 inches and letting the armhole area grow to a rise of 9 inches. The arms should measure a total of 22 inches including the ribbing and increase to 56 stitches evenly spaced after the ribbed beginning. The neckline is a wide U-neck to accommodate the fringe which is 10 inches long and is made from 20 inch strands held double. To create a wide U-neckline begin the U-neck in front at the same time you create the beginning of the armholes. Decrease 2 stitches until there will be 14 stitches left for the shoulder area. In the back make a high wide U-neck by decreasing 8 stitches at a time until there are about 14 stitches left for the shoulder seams beginning about 8 inches into the sleeve armhole shaping. You can finish the back neck with a row of single crochet if it is too low. Tie the fringe all across the front neckline. You can use your favorite shell stitch.
The needle size here is confusing, you need a J crochet hook US and a 10 or 10 1/2 knitting needle with bulky yarn.

I am going to Post a WorkBasket Sweater

I have a crocheted sweater with adorable long fringe that I used a workbasket pattern for. I  used black sparkle yarn, I believe it's a Herschnerr's color and yarn. It will take about 5 regular skiens or 2 1 lb skeins of worsted weight yarn and H-J crochet hooks. It has a ribbed hem with crocket edging around the neck and large fringes down the front.

Here is a fun page of older fashions, yet by blending a more modern fiber and color palette you won't look dated by spinning off from the patterns.

Sourced from eBay.
This photo is like my sweater but my sweater is closed in the front with cuff ribbing at the ends of the sleeves. It is a little dressy. This sells for $5000 on eBay!
Pictures of mine and helpful instructions coming soon. Sweater requires no knitting and no embellishments such as buttons, snaps or ribbon. Entirely yarn and crochet.

Do Not Smoke, No Smoking, E-Cigs - Get Your E-Cigs: Smoking Nightmares

How to Quit?

1. Don't rush. Don't mind if it takes two or three or even four years to accomplish.
2. Continue to smoke some but use a nicotine removing product at all times.
2b. Live it up and smoke brands that are exciting this is your last smoking venture before you hang it    up and live better.
3. Nicorette. (regular flavor as it seems like real tobacco the best)
3b. Live it up and try some cigarellos (cigars) between the gum, just smoke far less than you used      to.
4. Nourishment--vitamin supplements for your favorite ailment, like Niacin for cholesterol, Biotin for beauty, B6 for cellulite control, multi-vitamins for weight loss like one-a-day, gumie vitamins with zinc for colds--study, experiment.
5. Raw vegetables such as whole tomatoes, cucumbers, slaw, edamame ... .
6. Popsicles and ice.

Nicotine removing products include lava packed cartridges and filter tips. These typically last through several or a few cigarettes each.

Learn to collect ice trays in interesting shapes and make extra ice. Store it in a plastic cookie jar in the freezer. The trays can be used to make fruit drink ice cubes to spice up your beverages.

Make your own pudding frozen treats with boxed instant pudding. For a four serving pack use 3 cups of milk instead of two and for 6 servings use 4.5-5 cups of milk at least 1% fat is just right for this. This makes plenty of low calorie low fat treats for your money.

Let's Look at the Speed Measured in Mach Value

Mach is a unit of measuring the speed of sound in a given medium; a plane traveling at .2 Mach moves at only two-tenths the speed of sound, while Mach 1 is equal to it. (The speed of sound is about 758 miles (1,220 kilometers) per hour at sea level, and decreases with altitude.) As [your moving object-maybe an air plane accelerates to Mach 1.06, controllers on the ground heard the first sonic boom. (The end of a bullwhip moves faster than the speed of sound. Some say the "crack" is a small sonic boom.)
It has been a long time since I studied this physics--Looking at it again gives it new meaning.
If you can't read the image it is: M=v/vsound

M is the Mach number,
v is the velocity of the source relative to the medium, and
vsound is the speed of sound in the medium.
From Wikipedia en,  Mach number varies by the composition of the surrounding medium and also by local conditions, especially temperature and pressure. A vapor cone is typically observed as an aircraft, or object, approaches transonic velocity.

Ladderback Shawl

I love this treble crochet shawl, it is extra long and with multiple ties you can create several looks including cowl and hood looks, a tiny snowman is sewn on one end. This uses white and silver holiday yarn. It is about 70 90 inches long.

Cast on 164 x2=328 stitches or enough so length is 90 inches with stretched very slightly and the width is going to be 12 inches when slightly stretched if you make it 10 rows wide. It would probably be even more beautiful if you added two more rows for a total of 12 rows, bigger than this might be overwhelming although and reminiscent to a blanket. To check gauge cast on about 10 stitches and chain into the 4th chain from hook, skip a stitch triple crochet into next stitch, skip one stitch, triple crochet, skip one, Triple crochet once more which will be equal to 4 triple crochet and 2.25"

I will update this post with the placing of the string ties asap. There will be 6-8 inch fringe ends on both edges or ends lengthwise and pom pom embellishments on the tie ends, mine only has two pom poms but it really needs to have four, one pair for each set of ties at the neckline.
Fringe ends are looped and pulled through with a crochet hook, I will include a link for this asap.

Striped Sport Yarn in a Brightly Colored Sweater

The cuffs are done in a heavier weight worsted in a bronze shade of brown, while the body is worked in stripes of deep cocoa brown or chocolate, turquoise and jockey or cherry red, your preference, all done on size 7 American needles.
It is about 23 inches long and the bottom is also finished in the bronze-ier brown shade the trim is approximately 1 1/8 inches.

The stripes are about 3.5 inches for each shade and the neckline is a modified jewel/boatneck finished in single crochet. Cap sleeves gathered and eased into a set-in silouhette finish it off. Sleeves are a little long at 22 inches.

Here it is scanned.

The turquoise is a little unique so it is fun to wear. It is stretchy and soft, it is only red heart sport weight. It is also fun to mix purple with red, cream amd black.
Cast on 76 to begin the rib trim for the body, work a little more than one inch in one by one ribbing, change to a color in front and back increasing 10 stitches by the time you reach the armholes, bind off 6 on each side of piece in front and 5 in the back. The stripes will begin every 3.5 inches in a varying color.
Arms: Cast on 36 in the bronzeier brown also work a little greater than one inch in one by one rib. You will need to total 56 stitches as you work up the sleeve, do this by increasing (56-36=20) 4 stitches every color change, also every 3.5 inches to match the body's stripes as exactly as you can. You will be changing colors 5 times from cuff until armhole bind off. Bind off five stitches over two rows (=46 remaining) than bind off 12 stitches during each color on the edges, the first two colors = 22 stitches remaining, now you are to the final cap area and third color beginning at which you can taper to about 18 stitches or your preference to create a slight gathering to set-in to your garment's body.
For neckline cast off 22 in front working up to shoulder and casting off a few more on each side as desired until achieving about 2.5 inches in length and then bind off shoulders. In back cast off 32 plus two more on each side before completing approximately 11/4 inches length and then bind off shoulders.

Define Personality

Personality:

A set of traits enacted when dealing with a given situation and chosen by the person. The personality is called personality because it is somehow distinctive or habitual of the person. It is how they get through tough situations, the same way most of the time. The personality could be helpful, dependent, dominating or even deceptive. The person may not be able to fully help their personality traits, but usually the traits have worked in tough situations, either by getting the heat off or by winning over affection or approval from those persons they want the harmony with.

Quick Temperature Conversion from ℃ to ℉ Memorize

Exactly 5C=41F   10C=50F  15C=59F  20C=68F  25C=77F  30C=86F
So I think this is easy to recall:
10C=50F
therefore
5C=40F

5C-40F, 10C-50F, 15C-60F, 20C-70F, 25C-80F--after this it is obvious it is hot out but if you want to be a perfectionist 30C-85F and 35C-100F\ this is the exception here to the rule of 5C=10F yet it is roughly true from 40F (5C) to 80F (25C)

Here is an easy way below 0-C-freezing inF:

-10C=15F  -15=5F  -20C=-5F

It is always so frustrating to get out of the u.s.a. and not see temperatures in Fahrenheit.
